Sharjah: A Dh40.5 million roads project in Al Seouh in Sharjah are to open to the public on Thursday, January 3, the directorate of public works in Sharjah announced.
The roads project was completed before its due date making it the first project of the directorate to be completed this year. The project opened after the completion of the pavement works. The new Al Seouh roads are part of an integrated system of Sharjah’s new infrastructure.
Sulaiman Al Hajiri, director of road projects at the directorate, said the project aimed to improve the infrastructure in Sharjah. The road works included paving single roads in Al Seouh 1 through Al Seouh 8, bringing the total length of the road to 27.5km. They also built three roundabouts and rebuilt another that linked the Al Seouh area to Malieha.
