Some 5,154 Mehr housing units will be ceded in Damavand, Tehran province, today, announced director general of Tehran Roads and Urban Development Department.

Fariborz Vahedi added that close to 1.888 trillion rials in low-interest loans have been paid for Mehr Housing projects in the eastern part of Tehran province.

He called Imam Reza (AS) Mehr Housing project as a major project of Tehran province.

"It is near completion," he said, adding that infrastructural installations such water and wastewater facilities, electricity, gas and telecommunications have been established there.

Vahedi noted that infrastructural services, cultural spaces and green areas have been anticipated for Damavand Mehr Housing Project according to the standards.

"In addition, two mosques and three schools have been considered," he said.

Mehr Housing Scheme has proved successful in providing the low-income strata of the society with housing units.
