"Iran Khodro Industrial Group is determined to export 50 thousand cars this year," said the group's President and CEO and added, "Based on the latest survey, the demand for IKCO cars is accelerating and this means this brand's sale will be boosted in those markets."
"Presenting cars as Runna and Soren to be soon followed by Runna which meets required standards for international markets indicates that IKCO will enjoy a boost in global sales this year," claimed Najmeddin.
According to the CEO this is a trend that will lead to a considerable growth in export both this year and the years to come, while this itself needs IKCO to prioritize supplying its foreign markets' demands, developing sale and after-sale services network, presenting new quality and competitive products and choosing the right partner in those markets.
Najmeddin also announced, his company's plan for export is based on its export strategy i.e. preserving the existing markets and developing new ones, which will bring about more sales in markets like Russia, Turkey, Ukraine and also African countries.
"Since 2005 to 2012, markets as Iraq, Russia, Venezuela, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Egypt and Algeria have been the main export markets for our cars," he said, adding that export has enjoyed a growing trend during past years and despite of increased international pressures and last years' supply and demand problems, IKCO could almost double its global sales.
Najmeddin referred to developing and improving IKCO brand - resulted from export development - as one of the main goals of his company, claiming that last year, IKCO foreign income raised up to 60% comparing to its previous year.
