45,000 Kuwaitis visited Iran in '11
KUWAIT CITY, Feb 7: Around 45,000 Kuwaitis visited various Iranian towns and cities last year, an indication of deep-rooted brotherly ties between the two countries, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily quoting a press statement released recently by the Iranian Embassy in Kuwait.According to the embassy, the strong commercial ties between Kuwait and Iran continue to grow but this growth still requires the wisdom of the leaders of both countries. It also estimated the volume of trade exchange between the two countries at about $260 million.
The statement disclosed a meeting will be held soon to sign a draft agreement for sea and air cooperation between the two nations -- a positive reflection of the growing relationship that will definitely pave the way for stronger economic ties.
The embassy also denounced the cunning moves made by those trying to ruin Iran's relations with its neighbors.
