I respect your opinion on this, but I have a statement that we should all ponder.
Perhaps there is worth in these small steps toward joint commerce as a means for advancing more harmony amongst all countries in the region as well as globally.
Think about it.

Everyone wants this region to be peaceful and harmonious. There is definitely no arguing with that. However we have to put things in perspective. What kind of harmony will joint commerce bring to the region when the very foundations of co-existence and common sense (ie justice, freedom, equality, ... ) are being trampled on in this conflict. I think we all have to come to realize and understand that what business or commerce do is bring harmony amongst those on the top. The average person, whether Israeli or Arab, will continue to suffer as none of the core fundamentals mentioned above are being addressed. Indeed, they never have been. It is a North-South struggle, not an East-West one. To a certain degree I am not surprised by this announcement, as shameful and despicable it really is.

Do you think that impunity, bullying deserves recognition and reward?
Yes, I'm all for building commercial ties, etc...when this Israeli government ceases to impinge on the rights of Palestinians. If the Arabs cannot stand by our own, what right do we have to ask the world to respect our humanitarian rights?
There is no dignity in this. There is only shame.
When the world's trade and worker's unions are starting to mobilize for the BDS movement, when the Irish artist is signing on to support the BDS movement....really, are you telling me that we cannot build harmony with other countries in the region? Countries that are not engaged in building settlements and destroying 'unrecognized' villages? I'm not one for hyperbole, but where is the outrage?
How disgusting.
