Mohammed bin Zayed receives Japanese Ambassador

Abu Dhabi, July 16th, 2006 (WAM) - General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, received today Hajime Tsujimoto, who bid him farewell at the end of his term as Japan's Ambassador to the UAE.

Sheikh Mohammed thanked the Ambassador for his efforts to boost friendship ties between the two countries, stressing that bilateral relations between the UAE and Japan were steadily progressing in all areas. He wished the Ambassador success in his future assignments.For his part, the Ambassador thanked the UAE leadership and Government officials for the support and cooperation lent to him during his tenure.He reaffirmed Japan's keenness on further consolidating its ties with the UAE.Present at the meeting were Sheikh Suroor bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of Amiri Flight, Sheikh Mohammed bin Bati Al hamed, Ruler's Representative in the Western Region, Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamed, Special Presidential Advisor, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Public Works, Sheikh Sultan bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority, Sheikhs, and senior government officials.
