InterContinental Hotels Group signs agreement with Jordan's Social Security Corporation

Dubai,Aug. 1, 2005 (WAM)-- InterContinental Hotels Group is to manage the newly planned Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn hotelsat the Dead Sea in Jordan.

The Middle East's largest hotel operator has signed a management contract with Jordan's Social Security Corporation for the 420-room Crowne Plaza and 202-room Holdiay Inn, thereby increasing the company's portfolio to 8 properties in the Kingdom.

The Crowne Plaza, will be built on a 70,000 square metre site and offer a wide range of facilities consistent with the Crowne Plaza brand, including meeting and conference rooms, Ballroom and meetings rooms, a widespread swimming, health spa, restaurants tennis courts and playgrounds for children.

The Holiday Inn is to be built on a 41,000 square metre site and consist of 74 rooms, 128 chalets, meetings rooms, various restaurants, a health spa, swimming pools and playing fields for children.
