Al-Falak revenues cross SAR 210 million in 2004 |
|
Al Falak, the leading IT and Communications solutions provider in the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) region, has been named among the Top 100 Companies of 2004 in a list compiled by the leading pan-Gulf daily, the Arab News. The ranking underscores Al-Falak's position as an innovative IT market player delivering complete end-to-end solutions to suit all business needs.
The recognition comes in a year in which Al Falak's revenues crossed SAR (Saudi Arabia Riyal) 210 million, surpassing the SAR 191 million recorded in 2003. This represents a year-on-year revenue growth of 14 per cent. The company foresees a still stronger year-on-year growth for 2005, targeting a rise in revenue by over 20 per cent.
"Al Falak's robust performance in 2004 comes from a strategic vision to stay focused on the changing IT needs of the region. With regional operations spanning over two decades, we have developed the capability and resources to offer complete end-to-end solutions to suit all business requirements, whether it is a simple solution for a specific business need or a complete integrated enterprise-wide solution," says Ahmed Ali Ashadawi, President and CEO, Al-Falak.
"Al Falak offers integrated IT solutions through business partnerships with some of the world's leading best of breed solution and software providers, hardware and consumable manufacturers, business consultancy houses and implementation specialists. In addition, we focus strongly on regular training and strategic deployment of staff to ensure unmatched local support," Ashadawi explains.
All divisions of Al Falak registered excellent revenue growth during 2004. Al-Falak's ERP & Business Intelligence Division, targeting a major growth area in regional IT markets, recorded a 30 per cent growth and has set ambitious plans for 2005. The Al Falak Workforce Resources and Solutions Division registered a growth of 11 per cent, while Al Falak System Solutions and Consulting Division crossed revenue increase of 31 per cent.
Al Falak Software Solutions Division, riding on 32 per cent growth in 2004, plans to launch new software products customized to the needs of regional clients. Al Falak Computer Supplies & Accessories Division, which maintained the robust growth patterns of 2003, has announced a new strategic objective of shifting into e-business mode.
"Al Falak is enthused by the dynamic developments taking place in the IT markets in the region, driven by proactive governments who are committed to deploying IT solutions at all levels and private sector companies that are increasingly adopting global business practices," states Ashadawi. "The endorsements of our services and products by some of the biggest companies have placed us favourably to reap the benefits of the IT revolution sweeping the region."
