Dubai, United Arab Emirates (January 25, 2012) - Chloé announced today a newly signed license agreement with Marchon, one of the world's most prominent eyewear companies. The license will grant Marchon the rights to manufacture and distribute the sun and ophthalmic collections under the renowned Chloé brand. The first deliveries will be effective from the 1st of September 2012, formalizing the beginning of a relationship between these two global players in the luxury business.

Geoffroy de la Bourdonnaye President said "Chloé is proud to partner with Marchon whose optical expertise and worldwide vision will allow women who love the effortless and graceful silhouette of Chloé to enjoy the most technically advanced and stylish eyewear"

The Chloé Eyewear Collection captures the fluid femininity of the brand, taking inspiration from their seasonal RTW collection, accessories and iconic pieces which showcase the Chloé brand's superior use of foundational colors and textures.

About Chloé
Chloé was founded in 1952 by Gaby Aghion, an Egyptian-born Parisienne. Rejecting the stiff formality of '50s fashion, she created soft, body-conscious clothes from fine fabrics calling them "luxury prêt-à-porter".

With the label growing in popularity Gaby Aghion and Jacques Lenoir her business partner instigated what was to become a hallmark of the house;  the hiring of bright new talents to design the collections. Throughout the '60s, Chloé hothoused a group of young Left Bank designers who came to embody the Paris ready-to-wear movement known as "Le Style".

In 1966, Karl Lagerfeld joined as Head Designer and under his direction Chloé became one of the most iconic fashion brands of the '70s.

In the '80s, a series of talented designers including Martine Sitbon kept the collections fresh and ever-changing, whilst reiterating Chloé's quixotic ability to be at once cutting-edge and timeless.

Having been bought by the luxury goods conglomerate the Dunhill Holdings (now the Richemont Group) in 1985, Chloé's profile grew around the globe.

In 1997, Stella McCartney reinvented Chloé once more. Under her creative direction, the house was propelled to a new level of success.

Joining in 2001, Phoebe Philo continued the Chloé legacy of luxurious, audacious prêt-à-porter whilst stamping her own unique signature on it.

In 2006, Paulo Melim Andersson brought an edgy creativity to the brand with his witty and modern point of view.

Hannah MacGibbon was named as Creative Director in 1998 and brought her overall creative vision to the brand through femininity and sophistication, whilst preserving Chloé's tradition and luxury know-how.

Our current Creative Director is Clare Waight Keller.  Having joined on June 1st 2011, we have no doubt that she will continue in the footsteps of her predecessors and infuse the house with her own unique spirit.
