V-Kool planning new solutions next year
- Text size
The company, which is the leader in the high-performance premium window film market for the automotive industry, plans to launch some new car care products in April next year. The US brand is also planning to become a solution provider instead of only doing window tinting.
Launched a year ago, its Ultramaster paint protects car body paint and also protect passengers from heat and harmful UV rays with V-Kool, according to the company.
"Paint protection is major plan for 2012 to focus... Core business is still tinting but concentrating more on Ultramaster," V-Kool Emirates assistant general manager Saravana Natesh told Khaleej Times during an interview.
Paint protection is being offered in combo package with free window tinting and its prices starts from Dh2,000 per car, Natesh said.
The world's most advanced premium heat control film has been available in the UAE market for the last nine years and represented by Kuwait-based Kapico group. The group also has an exclusive master franchisee right for Kuwait and Oman markets.
In the UAE, protective film technology plays a pivotal role in the well-being of motorists. A good quality car window film can make a world of difference during the hot summer months. When the sun beats down mercilessly, the interior of a car, with its windows rolled up and not parked in the shade, is likely to become hotter than a sauna.Tough market in 2011
He mentioned that the industry faced tough conditions during 2011 mainly because of short supply of vehicles from Japan. After the Japan tsunami, the Thailand flood also hit supply lines, he added. "2011 has been a year of ups and downs and... window tinting shrank," he said.
"Despite all the turmoil, our revenues have grown [in 2011], but not much like 2010," he said, adding the company grew, but it was below expectations.
2012 looking positiveV-Kool sees 2012 positive for growth with its new product offerings in the first half of the year and more focus on complete solutions. V-Kool, which already enjoys some partnerships, is expecting at least four new partners in banking sector next year. The company will sign more partnerships with automobile distributors in the UAE.
The company has presence in all major malls in Dubai and looking for expansion in Abu Dhabi. "We only have one corporate showroom in Abu Dhabi and now want to explore the retail segment," he added.
Having established a leading premium brand position in the automotive retrofit market for window film globally, V-Kool has spreading its wings into the architectural segment through a new range of product offerings customised to meet the needs for the architectural market, under the endorsed brand, IQue.
From the 1960s to date, the film industry has gone through several technical transformations. From primitive liquid tint, to glare and limited heat control dyed film, from single-layer reflective metalised film, to high-performance spectrally selective clear film. The V-Kool technology is unique and stands at the forefront of the industry.
A testimonial of V-Kool success is evident from the fact that top European car manufacturers use V-Kool technology for their OEM windows as a cooling solution. These include top brands like Volkswagen, Mercedes, Audi, Volvo and others. To date, there are over 22 million cars worldwide incorporated with V-Kool technology.
