Conserv-8 facilities management tool to deliver exceptional LEED and Estidama compliant sustainability ratings for developers

Dubai, UAE, 19 May 2011: Locally based FM business consultancy, Langmead Associates WLL, has launched xD Sustainability Manager - an innovative new sustainable-building management tool at the FM Expo 2011 in Dubai this week.   Jointly designed with software developers Objective World, xDSM delivers exceptional LEED and Estidama compliant green-building ratings for project developers.

A key component of Langmead Associates Conserv-8 sustainability consulting services, xDSM enhances the management of requirements associated with green building and sustainability, and the monitoring of the client's chosen green building rating system applied to the project in particular.  xDSM is a web based tool that can be supplied for installation on client's own server or can be provided as part of a SaaS service provided by Langmead, either with or without additional professional services.

Douglas Langmead, Managing Director, Langmead Associates said: "The UAE is increasingly shifting towards green building compliancy in new and existing projects, and developers need tools that enable them meet these new requirements with ease and efficiency. Developers seeking to achieve high rankings in the LEED and Estidama ranking systems will find xDSM an immensely useful tool that can be specifically configured for each rating system."

Able to be set up as a stand-alone application, xDSM can also link requirements associated with the spatial context or other information in Objective World's BIM model, so that the concept design will inform the green rating assessment.

xDSM can be implemented from any stage, for example, in the Operations and Management (O&M) phase, clients can use it to manage the day to day operations in terms of maintaining a green rating.

The innovative new Conserv-8 facilities management tool follows Langmead Associates' Hybern-8 stalled-project solution launched last year, which delivers higher returns on property investments for developers by ensuring quicker reanimation and completion times for stalled projects. The ground-breaking project revival tool was the first of its kind in the region, and saw the company nominated as finalists for 'GCC FM Consultancy of the Year' and 'Innovative Use of IT in FM' at the 2010 FM Awards.

Other sustainability tools provided by Langmead Associates include OMTrak, a web-based tool for preparation of paperless Operation & Maintenance Manuals, defects management and maintenance schedules during the Defect Liability Period.

Langmead Associates are Business Consultants with offices in Bahrain and Dubai. With more than 30 years experience in the region, Langmead Associates take a strategic perspective of developer's ambitions and apply innovative business intelligence to deliver enhanced, controlled, and sustainable property lifecycle performance.

Langmead Associates will be demonstrating its innovative Facilities Management solutions at Stand F10, 17th - 19th May, at the FM Expo 2011, Dubai Exhibition Centre.
