ENOC launches comprehensive 'Code of Business Conduct' for employees

Outlines values that guide employees at the workplace and beyond
Emirates National Oil CompanyEmirates National Oil CompanyLoading... Ltd (ENOCENOCLoading...) has launched a dedicated 'Code of Business Conduct' for its employees. The document outlines the values to guide every employee of ENOCENOCLoading... to enhance efficiency at the workplace.

The 'Code of Business Conduct,' supported by an intranet portal and an Ethics Hotline, builds on the Core Values of ENOCENOCLoading... - Team Work, Integrity, Transparency, Respect and Customer Focus - that serve as pillars for the company's successful growth. It outlines ENOCENOCLoading...'s approach towards fair treatment, environment, health & safety (EHS) standards, quality, workplace conduct, conflicts of interest, business courtesies, intellectual property, information use, trademarks and records management, among others.

The document also spells out ENOCENOCLoading...'s stance on personal behavioural standards, employment of immediate relatives, relationships with customers, anti-corruption compliance, audits, whistle-blowing, fraud and theft

ENOCENOCLoading...'s Vice Chairman, His Excellency Ahmed Humaid Al Tayer, ENOCENOCLoading... Board Members and Senior Managers showed their full support to the 'Code of Business Conduct' by attending the launch which took place at the ENOCENOCLoading... headquarters.

Saeed Khoory, Group Chief Executive, ENOCENOCLoading..., said: "The 'Code of Business Conduct' enables our workforce to make a distinct imprint in all the societies we work in, and inspires us to become a socially responsible organisation that encourages team-members to positively contribute to the long-term growth of the organisation."

He added: "In today's fast-changing business environment, transparency and strong corporate governance measures are imperative. The Code of Business Conduct reflects our commitment to uphold the highest ethical values at the workplace, and thus benefit all our stakeholders. I would like to thank the different internal departments for their efforts in putting the Code together, especially ENOC GroupENOC GroupLoading... Internal Audit for taking the lead in the project."

ENOCENOCLoading... staff members have been provided with a 'Code of Business Conduct' booklet - a comprehensive document that covers the entire aspects of the company's operations. It provides a clear direction on the basic values and integrity of conduct expected of all who are working for and on behalf of ENOCENOCLoading....

Among the salient aspects of the 'Code of Business Conduct' include insights on ENOCENOCLoading...'s policy towards sustainable development, the environment and corporate social responsibility initiatives.

To support the implementation of the 'Code of Business Conduct,' ENOCENOCLoading... has also constituted a new body, the Business Ethics Committee to sustain a transparent and ethical work environment.
