Manama, Bahrain: Recognizing the Bahrain government's continued move to create awareness on health issues, the Bahrain Exhibition and Convention Authority (BECA), is introducing a new Health and Wellness Expo in 2011, signing a sponsorship agreement with the exclusive 'Signature-Bahrain Magazine, Bahrain' to enhance the publicity for this inaugural event which will take place at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre (BIECC) from 12-14th January, 2011.

Health and Wellness Expo 2011 will be held under the patronage of His Excellency, Dr Faisal Al Hamer, Minister of Health, Bahrain and has been created to provide business development opportunities for a growing number of companies who offer services within the industry.   It is believed that the show will benefit greatly from a tie up with Signature magazine under the agreement signed recently.

"We are really pleased to be able to work with Signature-Bahrain Magazine in this way as it offers valuable regional exposure for our events and provides BECA with the right kind of publicity around the region," said Mr. Hassan J. Mohammed.

BECA operates under the stewardship of the Ministry of Industry & Commerce and has as its objective to grow the number of annual exhibitions held in the Kingdom, recently introducing the very popular Health and Wellness Expo, to expand this ever growing business.   The event has already been very well received by the business community who are keen to utilize this opportunity to expand their business connections within the region.

This is the first time such an event has offered both business and educational information to the community and comes at a very good time for Bahrain in continued support of the Ministry of Health's initiative for a healthier population.

Dedicated to the food, beverage and hospitality industries, the Expo will bring together an international audience of professionals providing an ideal opportunity to facilitate business transactions worldwide.   The Food & Hospitality Expo doubled in size in 2010 from its inaugural exhibition and is, once again, set to show tremendous growth for the 2011 event, with almost 50% of space already being booked.

On signing the agreement, Mr Vinod Thangoor, said, "It is important for us to expand the knowledge about the events throughout the region in order to maximize their potential business opportunities.     Signature-Bahrain Magazine is delighted to be able to support the strong initiatives of the Kingdom of Bahrain in developing its exhibition and trade fairs which, in turn, provides unique business opportunities for trading companies within the relevant industries."

Signature-Bahrain Magazine joins a list of sponsors of BECA's Health & Wellness Expo 2011 which is supported by the Ministry of Industry & Commerce; Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry.  In addition Gulf Air as BECA's Official Carrier.
