Dubai Chamber Chairman lauds the role of technical committees studying draft trade laws

Committees’ members honoured for their six years of hard work at a special ceremony held in Dubai

lauded the valuable role played by the members of the technical committees formed by Dubai ChamberDubai Chamber
for studying reviewing and recommending on the draft laws – both federal and local - at a special ceremony held at Mina Salam Hotel on Sunday.
The honouring of the technical committees consisting of 35 legal advisors and experts from firms and companies came in the wake of their contribution in studying the draft laws that serve the economic development of UAE. The honour bestowed on the committees’ members also acknowledged their efforts in enhancing the overall business environment with comprehensive and transparent economic laws that govern economic activities in the UAE.
Speaking at the honouring ceremony, Al Ghurair said, “In line with our mission of representing, supporting and protecting the interests of the business community in the Emirate, Dubai ChamberDubai Chamber
is committed to effectively participate in proposing, suggesting and reviewing of federal and local laws and international agreements that affect the economic activities in the UAE.”Added Al Ghurair, “Dubai ChamberDubai Chamber
has formed the said committees of legal advisers, experts and specialists since 2004 that work jointly with the Chamber team to study draft laws that keep pace with regional and global developments in the field and give their recommendations accordingly which go a long way in boosting the economic development of our country.”

, had reviewed may laws including the Companies Law, Law pertaining to precious metals and jewellery, Business Competition Law, Foreign Investment Law, Commercial Fraud Law, Maritime Law, United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Carriage of Goods by Sea and Security Law.-Ends-
