Empost courier services are now available in main post offices across UAE

Dubai, August 29, 2010: The services of Empost, the national courier company, are now available at main post offices across the UAE, Emirates Post GroupEmirates Post Group
(EPG) announced today.The selected main post offices offer the full range of Empost services through postal counters, including domestic and international courier services. To start with, Empost services are available at 11 post offices in the UAE, starting from August 29, 2010.

, said: "This arrangement is part of the ongoing restructuring of all EPG's units, including Empost. The restructuring seeks to make each unit efficient and more profitable, with enhanced customer service standards and under modern management principles."
"We believe this move will present new growth opportunities for Empost and raise its profile in the domestic and international markets, and thus help it emerge as a strong player in the courier and related segments," Al Hosani added.
Mr. Al-Hosani said: "As the national courier company, Empost has grown by leaps and bounds over the past ten years, keeping pace with the dynamic growth economic growth of the UAE. Besides courier services, we have expanded into new areas, including the Indian Passport and Visa Service Centres (IPVSC), which have now increased to 12."
"The access to Emirates Post offices for cross-selling Empost products provides the national courier company a key platform to take its services to a wider customer base through a network of 11 main post offices, which will be increased further in coming months," he added.
The 11 post offices that are offering Empost services are: Abu Dhabi Central, Dubai Central Karama, Deira Main, Al Khor Dubai, Al Thanawia Dubai, Jumeirah, Sharjah Central, Ajman Central, RAK Central, Al Ain Central and Fujairah Central.
