Nawras honoured for excellence in brand marketing at CMO Asia Awards

Muscat, 2 August 2010: Adding to a year of exciting achievements, Nawras is honoured to have picked up further international recognition for its excellence in brand leadership during the recent CMO Asia Awards held in Singapore. Nawras was thrilled to take home prestigious awards for 'Excellence in Branding and Marketing' as well as 'Asia's Best Employer Brand Award'.
Tariq Al-Barwani, Nawras head of corporate affairs received the awards and congratulations from panel representatives including Bhaskar Chatterjee, Secretary to the Government of India, Department of Public Enterprises and Donovan Neale-May, Executive Director of the CMO Council--an organisation dedicated to high-level knowledge exchange and thought leadership in the field of marketing.
Judging criteria recognised Nawras' ability to undertake and fulfil aggressive business management goals, implement team-orientation programmes as well as maintain its strong focus on customers and their positive interaction with the brand. Supported by the World Brand Congress and in alliance with the international CMO Council, the event attracted hundreds of attendees representing a worldwide network of distinguished marketing managers.
Speaking after the ceremony, Al-Barwani described the pleasingly different approach taken by the Nawras marketing team in building a 360° brand platform. "It is a great honour to be acknowledged by our international peers for bringing creative innovations to our customers and for striving to be employer of choice in Oman," said Al-Barwani. "We offer our customers the latest telecom technology with pleasingly different sales and after-sales support. Our dedicated team is composed of talented individuals who consistently take our brand to new and exciting heights in order to continuously delight our customers."
The first CMO Asia Awards ceremony was held to recognise organisations, chief marketing officers and professionals who have shown leadership in building brands combined with consistent innovation and strategic marketing. The CMO Council is a peer powered network dedicated to professional excellence, building personal relationships among nearly 5,000 senior marketing decision makers controlling more than $150 billion in annual marketing spend worldwide.
