Global hosts members of "The Protégés"

) hosted members of "The Protégés" programme on Wednesday 21 July 2010. The purpose of the visit was to provide the members with firsthand experience of the work environment at GlobalGlobal
and update them on the international economy. The Protégés is a programme designed to improve the social, practical, professional, and personal skills of young people between the ages of 16 and 24, through fun activities and interactive discussions.
Members of GlobalGlobal
welcomed the students and accompanied them throughout their visit to the various departments, and introduced them to the Asset Management, Investment Banking and Brokerage services the company offers to its clients, and updated them on the latest developments in the region in light of the world economy.
Mr. Bader A. AL-Sumait, Chief Executive Officer of GlobalGlobal
, spoke to the attendees about the international financial crisis, its effect on the regional and local businesses and the successful restructuring of GlobalGlobal
's debt. He then held an open discussion with them, answered their questions and encouraged them to expand their horizons, continuously seek new knowledge and work hard in order to achieve their aspirations.
Mr. AL-Sumait said, "We strongly believe that seeking new knowledge will help you attain your ambitions, which is why at GlobalGlobal
we encourage our employees to continuously develop their skills and we support them to enhance their experience." The Protégés visited several departments to gain maximum insight on the work environment at GlobalGlobal
, to observe the company's various functions and the role they play in providing added-value products and services to clients.
