Delivery of refurbished aircraft drives forward investment on product and service excellence
Abu Dhabi, 5 July 2010: Royal JetRoyal Jet
- the Abu Dhabi-based luxury aviation company, chaired by H.E. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan - can now lay claim to be operating the world's most luxurious, sophisticated and technologically-advanced private jet in the world. This follows the return this week of a refurbished BBJ - registration A6-RJY - from a multi-million dollar total refit and refurbishment programme. In creating a virtually new aircraft, Royal JetRoyal Jet
has reaffirmed its pledge to deliver the most sophisticated and luxurious private jet travel in the market.
Royal JetRoyal Jet
's CEO & President, Shane O'Hare says that despite the difficult economic and market conditions of the last 18 months, the company has not deviated from its commitment to an ambitious and aggressive five-year expansion and service enhancement plan.
"Part of our growth strategy is to increase our fleet over the next five years through acquisitions and aircraft management deals. In addition to the return of RJY we have also just added a sixth BBJ to our fleet, while an Embraer Lineage 1000 will arrive later in the year," he says, "and we are steadfast in our determination to enable more guests to enjoy an in-flight experience that we believe, surpasses by a large margin the offering of any other commercial private jet operator anywhere in the world.
"We committed a significant amount of money and resources to the overhaul of RJY, which now epitomizes the very best in cutting-edge technology and luxurious refinement. Only when one sees the inside of this aircraft, is it possible to comprehend the sheer luxury of the fittings and thereby one of the many refinements that differentiates our offering from the competition," adds O'Hare.
The aircraft combines expansive deluxe accommodation across three distinct areas: a majlis style VIP meeting lounge, a more formal meeting and dining area and a rest and relaxation zone, making it suitable for a variety of VIP guests.
Fitted out in the highest quality Italian leather and high-gloss finished walnut wood veneer, the plane has 14 VIP seats that can convert to fully flat, 180o beds - two in the VIP lounge, four in the formal meeting room area and another eight in the sleeping cabin. In addition, there are two divans that can accommodate six passengers and in the meeting room (or formal dining area) there are another eight seats. There are also 12 seats in the rear of the aircraft for the use of entourage passengers.
The aircraft's state-of-the-art communications system has broadband WiFi and GSM mobile connectivity, as well as satellite telephone and fax machines, ensuring that guests can always be in touch with business colleagues, family and friends. In addition, live multi-channel TV capability allows passengers to be updated with the latest news information required through a 42inch flat screen TV - the largest TV screen in the sky. Other entertainment options can be viewed on 28inch screens positioned within the rear of the VIP cabin, as well as on all VIP seats which have a personal 10.4inch screen positioned within the arm rest.
As well as creating unmatched levels of luxury and comfort inside the cabin, state-of-the-art avionics have been installed, thereby significantly enhancing the operational efficiency of the aircraft.
"Our guests have come to expect only the very best in terms of luxury, service, confidentiality and security from Royal JetRoyal Jet
. The return of this aircraft to our fleet will ensure that we remain the world leader in providing luxury aviation, setting the standards that other companies can only dream of emulating," O'Hare concludes.
