Dubai, June 23, 2010: National Car Rental (NCR), one of the UAE's fastest growing auto rental companies, has begun offering services from Alamo Rent A Car, the worldwide leader in leisure car rental, in the United Arab Emirates.

Alamo Rent A Car services are now available through four NCR locations - two each in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Customers in Dubai will be served through branches at Dubai International Airport and Garhoud, while Abu Dhabi customers can choose from branch offices at Najda Street and Abu Dhabi International Airport.

Reinforcing its commitment to the region, a dedicated website for Middle East customers has been created - www.alamo-me.com  - and a stand-alone Reservations Centre has been established.  UAE residents will be able to dial the local call centre on 800 25266 and use the website to make reservations for Alamo Car rental almost anywhere in the world.

For over 30 years, Alamo Rent A Car has been a market leader in the global car rental industry. The company started with four locations in Florida and now has a worldwide network, with access to over 8,800 rental locations in 90 countries, including all major airports and cities.  With a clear focus on the leisure traveller, the Alamo brand has become synonymous with easy to book, competitively priced, straightforward car rental, offering a range of services to make the experience as convenient as possible for holidaymakers, from fast-track collections and drop offs, to Sat Nav and child seat facilities.

This philosophy is now being extended to the UAE.  A fleet of more than 4,000 vehicles has also been established for the new UAE operation, providing holidaymakers with a wide range of choices, from compact minis to 4x4s.

"Middle Eastern airlines are serving an increasing number of North American destinations leading to a growth in leisure traffic between the two regions," said Sumit Chopra, General Manager, National Car Rental.

"North American and European travellers familiar with the Alamo brand will be happy to find its services being offered in the UAE, while UAE residents can book car services to almost any worldwide destination in the Alamo network."
