Data Centre Middle East awards nominations announced

Abu Dhabi & London - 16 May 2010 - The first ever Awards ceremony for the Data Centre sector in the Middle East has received a significant number of nominations from across the region. The prestigious international awards will offer companies engaged in the data centre industry with wide recognition and outstanding marketing differentiation. The ceremony will take place at the 2nd Data Centre Strategies Middle East conference, to be held May 25-26 at the Injazat Auditorium, Abu Dhabi (www.datacentres.com/me)
Awards nominations have been received from leading companies across the region including: Al Jol Data Centre, American University of Kuwait Data Centre, Aviation Information Technology, CityNet, eHosting Datafort, EMC, Environment Agency, Government of Abu Dhabi, Etisalat, Gateway Gulf, IncoNet-Data Management, Infort (Batelco), Injazat Data Systems, King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals Data Centre, Kulacom, Mashreq Bank Primary Datacenter in DOZ, Meeza, Meydan, National Data Centre of Oman, NGNS, Raya Data Centre, Sanad Centres' Data Centre, SCS-net, Tawasul Services, TEdata and Xdata TCN Data Centre.

The categories include Best New Entrant in Middle East Data Centre; Best Co-location Middle East Facility; Best Data Centre Middle East Region; Best Middle East Green Initiative Award; Best New Cloud Services Middle East Region Award; Best Sustainable Data Centre Design Middle East Region; Best Managed Services Provider Middle East Region; Best Disaster Recovery Provider Middle East 2010; Middle East CTO Award for Innovation in Data Centres; Judges' Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Data Centre Sector Award (CEO Award) and a Special Award for Innovation and Education in the Data Centre Sector Middle East 2010.
The event is attracting influential IT experts and decision makers in enterprises from all over the region to gain advantage from the emergence of Private Cloud, secure a reduction in data centre costs, and network with peers.
