Second Cup steams into Abu Dhabi Young Emirati to operate first outlet in capital

Abu Dhabi: Second Cup, the specialist coffee house with branches across the Middle East, has expanded into Abu Dhabi. For the first time, a young UAE national has been chosen to sub-franchise one of the Canadian-born, premium coffee outlets in the region.

The selection of 32-year-old Tariq Abdullah Al Marzouqi to operate the new Second Cup store is a clear demonstration of how Mohi-Din BinHendiBinHendiLoading..., President of BinHendi EnterprisesBinHendi EnterprisesLoading..., master franchisee of the Second Cup Coffee Company for the Middle East, has set out to encourage Emirati youth to develop their entrepreneurial skills. This move is a part of BinHendiBinHendiLoading...'s aim to motivate and encourage UAE nationals to venture into the business world as entrepreneurs.

Al Marzouqi, who graduated from the Higher Colleges of Technology with a degree in construction engineering, has since been working as a divisional manager in a leading oil and gas construction company. He also holds an MBA from Abu Dhabi University.

"Second Cup has successfully established a strong following among coffee lovers across Dubai," said BinHendiBinHendiLoading... at the signing ceremony. Its move into Abu Dhabi has shown how Second Cup's formula is now in great demand across the whole UAE.

"Our decision to award the franchise for our first store in Abu Dhabi to Mr. Al Marzouqi shows our confidence that the UAE has a growing wealth of young entrepreneurial talent which will succeed when given the opportunity. Following the signing ceremony, the new sub-franchisee thanked BinHendiBinHendiLoading... for the opportunity. Now I have the chance to bring the ultimate coffee experience to my home city, Abu Dhabi."

Offering customers some of the world's finest coffees, the Abu Dhabi store will become Second Cup's forty-seventh franchise across the Middle East, and fourteenth in the UAE. Throughout the region Second Cup offers best-in-class products and attractive surroundings to caffeine connoisseurs.

The new store has opened on Al Najda street in Abu Dhabi.
