First-time partnership set to push the boundaries of financial sector analysis
Bahrain, 15 March 2010: Oxford Business Group (OBG), the global publishing, research and consultancy firm, has added a new dimension to its successful operations in the Gulf by teaming up with the accounting and auditing, tax and consultancy services company, BDO Bahrain.

The first-time partnership will see BDO Bahrain provide OBG's experienced editorial and research team with key intelligence on accountancy in the Gulf state for The Report: Bahrain 2010, the Group's forthcoming guide on the country's economic activity and investment opportunities.

BDO Bahrain is a member firm of BDO International, a global company specialising in accounting, audit, legal, management consulting and corporate finance services with bases in over 100 countries.

OBG's Country Director in Bahrain, Suzanne Claiden, said she was confident that BDO Bahrain would make an invaluable contribution to the forthcoming business guide, given its in-depth knowledge of the local financial sector against the broader economic landscape.

"The significant progress that Bahrain has made in diversifying its economy has led to a notable expansion in its financial sector," she said. "This raised level of economic activity has undoubtedly generated widespread interest among investors and heightens the need for input from partners with outstanding levels of expertise in their field, such as BDO Bahrain."

Jawad Habib Jawad, Senior Partner at BDO Bahrain, said that the company was looking forward to consolidating the good relations it already enjoyed with OBG by expanding its role in the compilation of data for the Group's new report.

"BDO Bahrain has a well-established relationship with OBG, which is known to be a market leader in providing business information on developing economies," he said. "I am confident that our detailed knowledge of the local financial services sector and experience in entrepreneurial management will prove useful to OBG as it gathers business intelligence for its highly-anticipated report."

The Report: Bahrain 2010 will serve to reinforce OBG's place as the world market leader in providing accurate, insightful economic information on developing and emerging economies across the continents. The highly-anticipated report will be a vital guide to the many facets of the country, including its macroeconomics, infrastructure, political landscape, banking and other sectoral developments. The Report: Bahrain 2010 will be available in print form or online.
