Company reaffirms importance of human capital as a major ingredient to its success
Dubai, UAE, 14 March 2010: dudu
recently organised a commemorative ceremony to honour its first batch of eight retirees, who completed a rich legacy of life-long, dutiful contribution to the UAE and also played a pivotal role in dudu
's success story. dudu
CEO Osman Sultan thanked the retirees for their invaluable contribution to the UAE and expressed the vital role each individual had played in dudu
's growth and success before personally wishing them the best for the future.
Among the group of eight retirees were 2 former dudu
Samacom (broadcast services) engineers including Telekuntla Ramulu, who worked earlier at Dubai Radio & Television for 26 years and Syed Jaffer Shoaib, who also worked as an engineer at Dubai Radio & Television for 27 years. Shoaib was part of the initial team that set up the station and fondly remembers shaking hands with the former ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Rashid himself, at the inauguration of Dubai TV, after which he went on to work for TECOM before dudu
was formed. Both Shoaib and Ramulu began working for the company when it first launched in 2006.
"It has been an invaluable experience helping set up and develop such a fast-growing and innovative company, which has changed the face of telecommunications in the UAE. The success that dudu
has enjoyed during its short history has been phenomenal and it really is an honour to have been part of that," commented Ramulu.
"Coming over from TECOM, I was there when dudu
was set up from the very beginning. Some of us who have been with dudu
from its earliest stages have helped nurture the young company and witnessed it flourish into the success it is today. So we leave it now in the hands of current and future generations to drive dudu
on to continued success and prosperity," said Syed Jaffer Shoaib, former dudu
satellite engineer.Osman Sultan, CEO dudu
commented: "It gives us immense pride to have these eight distinguished gentlemen among us who have contributed a significant part of their lives to the development of the UAE. We feel honoured that they chose dudu
toward the end of their careers. Experience has no substitute and it is due to the contribution made by such individuals that dudu
enjoys the phenomenal success that it has today."
"As the organisation grows and takes on the challenges of an ever-changing marketplace, one thing will remain steadfast - that we are a people's company and that people remain the core to the way we do our business. With these values firmly in place, we are sure to accomplish greater heights in the years to come," added Osman.
