Umniah Celebrates Its 2008 and 2009 UCCT Graduates

After completing the training courses provided by UmniahUmniah
and Microsoft Within its Computer Learning Initiative, UmniahUmniah
- the fastest growing telecom service provider in Jordan - held a celebratory event with the 2008 and 2009 graduates of its Umniah Community Computer Training (UCCT) Center, which provides specialized computer training courses in cooperation with Microsoft, whereby Microsoft trains volunteers from UmniahUmniah
's team as trainers who in turn train those who wish to enroll in the free courses the Center offers. To date, 292 graduates have received certification from UmniahUmniah
and Microsoft through the UCCT Center.
's management, represented by its CEO Mr. Ihab Hinnawi, and Mrs. Rula Ammuri, Microsoft JordanMicrosoft Jordan
Country Manager, in addition to the Center's graduates and trainers. The event also included an inspirational speech that was given by Mr. Hinnawi, who expressed UmniahUmniah
's sense of pride in the graduates who have invested in developing their abilities towards their futures. He also stressed on UmniahUmniah
's interest in disseminating e-culture throughout the local community and equipping youth with the latest technology to help elevate performance in the market place and increase productivity and competitiveness within different sectors. During his speech, Hinnawi said: "We realize the importance of our contribution as a Jordanian company towards developing the computer skills of Jordanian citizens in order to equip them with the skills they need to attain new jobs or help them develop their existing job situation by giving them the chance to become better informed of the latest technological requirements, thus motivating them to develop their IT skills. We look forward to continuing with these training courses in order to include a bigger number of young Jordanians with the aim of helping them improve and apply their skills towards their professional careers. We firmly believe that it is our duty and commitment at UmniahUmniah
to contribute to our society and the Jordanian economy."
Mr. Hinnawi also referred to his pride in this partnership with Microsoft, which has cooperated positively towards the project's success. He discussed his belief in the abilities of all citizens as one of Jordan's most valuable assets, who if given the necessary tools and the right opportunities can contribute to the overall development process.
