Website on 9th Arab Media Forum Launched

Comprehensive Archive of Forum's History to Facilitate Online Registration for AMF 2010
Dubai: 09 March, 2010 - The Dubai Press Club today announced the launch of a comprehensive and updated website on the 9th edition of the Arab Media Forum (AMF).
Organized under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Arab Media Forum 2010 will be held from 12-13 May at The Atlantis-Palm Hotel.
The new look website www.arabmediaforum.ae provides the AMF 2010 agenda and includes an integrated archive of the sessions from the event's previous editions. It also comprises an image library of the forum since 2005.
In addition, the portal will act as an electronic gateway for the 9th Arab Media Forum and help facilitate online registrations. In addition to being of interest to global and regional media professionals, the website features attractive components for media students, professors, individuals practitioners and companies.
Adel Ibrahim, Senior Manager - Operations, Dubai Press Club, said: "The website integrates modern tools of communication for the media and the general public to acquire details on the Arab Media Forum. This has been achieved through the adoption of modern interfaces to keep pace with the rapid growth of electronic media in the Arab region.
It also provides links to news sites and social networking platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube."
The website team is currently working to provide data on the AMF sessions prior to 2005 when it was held for the first time in 2001. The portal is designed to serve as a comprehensive reference point that will benefit international researchers and scholars in the field of media.
Ibrahim added: "The website will provide an opportunity for visitors to watch videos of meetings and workshops of Arab Media Forum that were attended by eminent global and Arab members of the media. It will be cache of information on various issues and offer diverse views on the changing phenomena in the Arab and global media landscape."
AMF 2010 will host a busy agenda incorporating a variety of topics on the latest findings included in the Arab Media Outlook 2009-2013. The event will embark upon most aspects imposed by the various changes and challenges of economic, political, social and technological media industries.
