Al Ghanim: "Our duty is to support young talent and provide a perfect environment for creativity"

Kuwait, March 7th, 2010: Al Mazaya HoldingAl Mazaya HoldingLoading... has announced its sponsorship of the Kuwaiti and Proud forum entitled Project Homeland, in support of Kuwait's post-graduate youth. The aim is to help them start their own small projects, and provide them with the space to express their creativity in a competitive framework according to the global trends.

Al MazayaAl MazayaLoading... sees its sponsorship of the forum as a continuation of its policies supporting the Kuwaiti youth, especially after the launch of a series of unprecedented initiatives - including the 7 Zones Design Center, the Kuwaiti Creative Zone 1, and contests designed for students of the Kuwaiti College of Engineering - aimed at promoting the creative work of the students in the market and introducing students to the job market.

The company has also announced the launch of a second Kuwaiti Creative Zone. This follows on the huge success of the first Creative Zone and the attention garnered around its leased spaces, which sported reasonable pricing structures for the Kuwaiti youth. Al MazayaAl MazayaLoading... will open applications for leasing spaces in the second Creative Zone during the Kuwaiti and Proud forum.

Al MazayaAl MazayaLoading... will also announce the launch of the 7 Zones Multi Brand Zone initiative, the first center of its kind in the region where a host of international brands in the engineering and construction sector will be presented to visitors at reasonable prices. This new initiative from Al MazayaAl MazayaLoading..., which forms part of the company's plans to expand its operations in Kuwait presently, and into the GCC region and Middle East at a later stage, will attract trademarks, store owners and traders, as well as young Kuwaitis wanting to market a specific brand but who might not have the ability to launch their own exhibition and marketing campaigns.

Commenting on the subject, Al Mazaya AVP of Marketing, Jasim Al Ghanim, said: "This is not the first time that Al MazayaAl MazayaLoading... has sponsored important activities such as the Kuwaiti and Proud forum, and it is our duty to support young talent and provide a perfect environment for creativity.

"We seek to include a section for young Kuwaitis in all our projects, including the 7 Zones project, focusing on various skills and talents such as painting, sculpting, arabesque designs, architectural designs, interior designs, website design, animation, photography, scenery design, etc. 7 Zones is one of those projects providing leased spaces at reasonable prices for young Kuwaitis with talent in which to express their creative ideas and translate them into projects. In addition, 7 Zones also include a series of smart offices, a painting room and a fully equipped workshop aimed at unlocking the potential talents of the skilled youth," added Al Ghanim.

Kuwaiti and Proud Director, Mr. Dhari Hamad Al Wazan, added: "Al Mazaya HoldingAl Mazaya HoldingLoading...'s sponsorship of the Kuwaiti and Proud forum comes as a result of a three year long cooperation between us, and through it Al MazayaAl MazayaLoading... is presenting its social message and unlimited support of the forum, which is the main driving force supporting young Kuwaitis and small projects today.

"Their sponsorship of the non-profitable Kuwaiti and Proud forum shows support for the local economy, especially as the forum hosts small projects which require constant attention and guidance from officials."

The Kuwaiti and Proud forum, which is being held for the third consecutive year under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Nasir Al Mohammed Al Sobah, Prime Minister of Kuwait, is the first and biggest meeting place for people involved in small projects, and will be held at the Conference Center, hall no.8, from 16 - 18 March 2010. The forum is set to bring together young Kuwaitis running small projects with a number of big companies, banks and sponsors under one roof to promote the role of small projects in the local market and to help develop these projects.
