Development Zones Commission & King Hussein Bin Talal Development Area, Platinum Sponsors of the 4th Annual City Development Event

Amman, March 1st, 2010: The Development Zones Commission and Mafraq Development Corporation announced their platinum sponsorship and participation at the 4th Annual City Development which is held during the period from 28/2/2010 to 1/3/2010, at the Grand Hyatt Amman / Amman, Jordan.
The organization of this conference concentrates on addressing issues, providing solutions and highlighting successful case studies of relevant issues in city development, such as climate change, improving economic conditions in the inner cities, encouraging investment, creating sustainable strategies for urban planning, and diversity of projects, developing the infrastructure of the city, preserving cultural heritage, disaster management and others.
This annual city development conference is considered an excellent platform to network, an opportunity to exchange ideas, search for business opportunities and benefit from the experience of key leaders in the industry.
DZC represent the government institution responsible for creating, managing, and monitoring the development zones in Jordan, established in 2008, in order to attract foreign direct investment, and enhance the Kingdom's economic growth through economic development zones, and the creation of an advanced investment environment for economic activities.
The Commission provides a, "one-stop shop service" which includes all procedures related to investment, and delivery of all government transactions quickly and efficiently in one place, in addition to providing a range of investment incentives, tax exemptions and customs.
King Hussein Bin Talal Development Area/ Mafraq; which is one of development zones in Jordan, covering an area of 21 square kilometers, close to the border crossings to Syria, Iraq and Saudi Arabia, which is characterized by its strategic geographical location of industrial production and transportation, a regional center for trade and the movement of goods from all over the region and the world, and adjacent to the airport, and railway line that will be created in the future, and offers investment opportunities in the industrial sector, logistics, housing and commercial services.
