Customers can call a toll-free hotline 800-BGAS (800-2427) throughout the day, to pre book a free LPG safety check at their home.
The toll free number can also be used for instant solutions to problems & queries as well as to order LPG cylinder refills. This service is currently available only in selected areas of Dubai, Ajman and Ras Al Khaimah. Customers will be serviced by a fleet of over 50 dedicated distribution fleet and staff trained in cylinder installation. The first time the customer calls on the toll-free number; his contact and location details are saved, so that they do not have to identify themselves the next time onwards. As part of the safety campaign, the company will also distribute flyers and other educational material across the Emirates. The free safety check offer extends till March 31, 2010.
Speaking on the campaign launch, Mr. Ali Aman, Divisional Manager of Brothers Gas comments, "'SAFETY FIRST' is our motto at Brothers Gas. We work very closely with the Civil Defense Authority to make the environment safer and healthier. LPG gas, which is one of the most popular fuels for cooking can also be very hazardous if not installed within certain standards. It is important that the properties and safe handling of LPG are understood and applied in domestic applications".
"We believe that educating homeowners is vital to reduce the incidence of fires and accidents due to gas leakage. This could result due to faulty connections, cylinder corrosion, lack of proper ventilation or use of substandard parts and equipment. The 'Home Safe Home' initiative will include a ten point safety check list which would involve our staff conducting LPG equipment checks and providing free consultancy to homeowners on LPG safety. Customers will also be provided with a Brothers Gas Safety booklet carrying all the information".
Brothers Gas was founded in 1992 and provides total solutions to LPG consumers -domestic, commercial and industrial. Services include LPG supply, bottling, feasibility studies, designing gas systems, installations, maintenance of gas systems and cylinders and organizing customer awareness drives on safety measures.
