Samarah Dead Sea Resort awards infrastructure contract

The infrastructure development contract for Samarah Dead Sea Resort, owned by The Dead Sea Touristic and Real Estate Investment Company, formed by Emaar Properties PJSC along with a group of regional and Jordanian investors, has been awarded to Arab Towers Contracting Company. The contract, valued at JD3.6 million, is for road, irrigation, power and telecom networking and related work in the resort development managed by Emaar International JordanEmaar International Jordan
. Arab Towers will undertake a range of infrastructure support works that also cover drainage, external works and water tanks at the Rift site of Samarah Dead Sea Resort. Peter Titus, the general manager of Emaar International JordanEmaar International Jordan
, said Samarah Dead Sea Resort is progressing as envisaged with the first homes to be handed over this year. "World-class infrastructure development is integral to ensuring a superior lifestyle experience for our customers, and we have joined hands with Arab Towers, which has an established track-record in undertaking complex and large-scale projects." Hisham Wadi, the general manager of Arab Towers, said: "Samarah Dead Sea Resort is one of the landmark projects in the Kingdom and we will focus our energies on the on-time completion of the entire scope of work that covers a large spectrum of infrastructure work."
