Dubai: The chairman of the board of Mercedes-AMG will reveal his fabulous new SLS AMG sports car for the first time in the region at the 10th International Middle East Motor Show, Dubai.

Mr. Volker Mornhinweg, will be at the exhibition on December 15 to unveil a special 'Gold Gullwing' to the region's media.

"I was privileged to reveal our new C 63 AMG in Dubai two years ago and am even more delighted that we can show off the first AMG that we have produced from a blank sheet of paper," said Mr. Mornhinweg. "Where better than the City of Gold to reveal our 'Gold Gullwing' to a growing group of Middle East enthusiasts."

The new super sports car from Mercedes-AMG, which can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds before hitting an electronically limited top speed of 317 km/h. makes for an alluring proposition with its unrivalled technology package that includes an aluminium spaceframe body and classic Gullwing doors.

Also making its first debut will be a special Middle East-only version of the much-loved G-Class SUV that is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year.

Limited to just 79 vehicles - to mark the 1979 date of production - this G-Class will come in G55 AMG guise and feature special mango allanite grey paintwork, 19 inch titanium finish alloy wheels and a unique interior that will make this regional best seller even more desirable.

Mercedes-Benz will display 17 cars on its stand in Hall 2, highlighting its sporty range of AMG models but will also show off its 'green' credentials with the S400, the first series production car to feature a hybrid drive system with a lithium-ion battery to go on sale in the Middle East & Levant.
