Amman - The Jordanian al-Majd Newspaper focused on the constant and principal attitudes of Syria towards all Arab, regional and international issues, saying that the Syrian policy is a translation of national and patriotic constants and an expression of patriotic struggle and principal and moral commitments which are based on the freedom of choice, independence of decision and Arabism.
In an article by Fahad al-Rimawi published on Tuesday, the newspaper said that crystal clear evidence on that is President Bashar al-Assad's latest speech at the opening of the 5th Arab Parties Conference in Damascus when he stressed the necessity of building a new Middle East whose essence is resistance and is held together by Arab solidarity, pointing out that peace is achieved through resistance not negotiations.
The newspaper saw that Damascus proved to be an authority on the science of strategy, political creativity and the logic of self-reliance because it implemented its policy most wisely and intelligently and directed its battles with utmost patience and bravery, combining principal steadfastness and diplomatic flexibility according to late President Hafez al-Assad's strategy which was developed and enriched by President Bashar al-Assad in order to cope up with this age and its developments.
The newspaper said, "Apart from Syria, who else can count on resistance and call for adopting it as a base for a new Middle East?" quoting President al-Assad's affirmation on adherence to Arabism and belief in the Arab identity which has been afflicted with many setbacks lately, and persuading people of the importance of this identity.
The newspaper added that Secretary General of Hezbollah Hassan Nasrallah picked up on this brave Syrian initiative, praising President Bashar al-Assad's stances in support to the resistance and appreciated them in a distinguished way, saying on Martyr's Day "We are proud of President al-Assad's speech that calls for supporting resistance and considers it an alternative choice after the failure of compromise, expressing his pride in supporting the resistance, considering it a duty.
The newspaper said that President al-Assad's policy contributed deeply to changing the equations and finding the proper solutions to the crises that were created by Syria's enemies to prevent it form performing its national role.
It also indicated to the situations that surrounded Syria, noting that Syria managed to contain them with its creative mentality, emerging from them stronger and more self-confident.
The article added that Damascus was able to change policy aptly from the "art of the possible" to the "art of the stance," changing it from a mechanical automatic craft to an extraordinary and creative one which enabled it to overcome the most difficult crises.
In conclusion, the article hailed Syria's deep friendship relations with Turkey and Iran, in addition to its developing relations with Arab popular resistance forces.
