Novartis Holds Medical Lecture on a New Drug for Osteoporosis

Amman, Jordan - In light of the Jordanian medical conference on osteoporosis, which was held during 11 - 13 November, a medical lecture was made with cooperation of Novartis to introduce the new published studies related to the annual injection used for the treatment of this chronic disease, in addition to defining its causes and ways of protection.
The 11 November lecture in the Intercontinental Hotel in Amman was presented by Professor Sergey Ferrari who explained the instructions of taking this medicine by using one needle a year. Professor Ferrari also referred to the importance of using the drug in the long run.
Osteoporosis is a disease caused by the lack of solidity and strength of the osseous mass, which leads to some risks like sudden cracks and fractures. It is called the silent disease since it evolves without any apparent symptoms, until a fracture or a failure (slip) in one of the spinal column bones does happen.
On his part, Professor Sergey Ferrari said: "I highly recommend Aclasta to my patients; with Aclasta we have reached the maximum anti fracture efficacy that we can expect from such drug, which provides a 100% compliance with the treatment".
