Four Seasons Hotel Beirut kicks off exciting new openings for the next 12 months

Launch of Lebanon property in December 2009 will be followed by properties in China, two properties in the US, and one in Morocco during 2010

Dubai, UAE, November 19, 2009; Four Seasons Hotels and ResortsFour Seasons Hotels and ResortsLoading... shared the latest news and updates on the soon to be launched Four Seasons Hotel BeirutFour Seasons Hotel BeirutLoading... as well as upcoming properties in China, the US and Morocco at a media brunch held on November 19. In addition to offering a glimpse into the company's robust global pipeline, Four Seasons also had General Managers from the region and beyond, sharing news and insights into their hotels. 

Several representatives from Four Seasons Corporate were present as well as ten General Managers representing key Four Seasons hotels and resorts in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Jordan, Qatar, Syria and Lebanon, as well as properties in France and Mauritius.

Approaching 50 years of operation, with an expanding portfolio of 82 hotels in 34 countries, Four Seasons Hotels and ResortsFour Seasons Hotels and ResortsLoading... entered the region almost 10 years ago. The Four Seasons HotelFour Seasons HotelLoading... Beirut will be the group's ninth property in the Middle East, since opening its first hotel in Egypt - the Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at the First Residence.

During the media briefing, David Crowl, Vice-President, Sales and Marketing, Europe, Middle East and Africa, and Sorya Gaulin, Director of Global Corporate PR for Four Seasons Hotels and ResortsFour Seasons Hotels and ResortsLoading..., highlighted the much anticipated Beirut property's outstanding design features, services, amenities and selection of restaurants, bar and lounge.  The hotel's approach to guest services and hospitality is sure to raise the bar in the chic Mediterranean city when it opens its doors in the coming month.

The presentation also provided an overview of the Four Seasons Hotel Hangzhou at West Lake (China) scheduled to open in Q2 2010; the Four Seasons Resort Vail (opening summer 2010) and the Four Seasons HotelFour Seasons HotelLoading... Denver (opening Q3 2010) in the US; as well as the Four Seasons HotelFour Seasons HotelLoading... Marrakech (opening Q4 2010), which will be the group's next venture, following Beirut.

Four Seasons Hotels and ResortsFour Seasons Hotels and ResortsLoading... is eyeing an expanding portfolio of properties in the Middle East and Asia going into 2011, with new developments planned in Bahrain, Vietnam (Cham Island) and multiple properties in China. The group will also grow its presence in North America and Europe, with new developments in Canada (Toronto), Russia (Moscow and St Petersburg), Italy (Venice and Umbria) and Austria (Vienna).

Opening in December 2009, Four Seasons HotelFour Seasons HotelLoading... Beirut will offer discerning guests elegance and sophistication in a city known for its hospitality. Crowned by a sky-high rooftop pool lounge and characterised by renowned Four Seasons service, the hotel will be located along Beirut's Corniche. Each of the Hotel's 230 terraced rooms and suites, rendered by celebrated interior designer Pierre-Yves Rochon, provides breathtaking views onto the Mediterranean, the city of Beirut and the surrounding mountains. The Hotel offers a complete dining destination with The Grill Room, The Boulevard and The Lounge - rich with a delectable selection of locally inspired fare and international cuisine - while The Spa presents seven treatment rooms, including a VIP couples suite designed for the ultimate in indulgence.

In Q2 2010, China will welcome Four Seasons Hotel Hangzhou at West Lake, uniting the gentle spirit of a Chinese water village with sleekly-designed guest accommodation, private dining options and resort-style recreation. Four Seasons Hotel Hangzhou at West Lake provides exclusive fine dining offerings within eleven private dining pavilions surrounded by a garden lagoon, and stylish all-day Asian and Western restaurant. Guests can indulge in a complete recreational escape with the exclusive Spa combining Chinese and Asian therapies, an indoor pool complete with lounge-seating daybeds in addition to a heated exterior pool complemented by lush landscaping encouraging calmness and serenity. 

In the USA, two new Four Seasons hotels will open, both in Colorado. Four Seasons Resort Vail and Four Seasons Hotel Denver are set to open in the summer and fall of 2010 respectively. Four Seasons Resort Vail set high in the Rockies blends sophisticated contemporary design with cosy alpine traditions. With 112 high-tech guests' rooms including 24 suites, all with mountain and pool views, the resort also has 16 private residences and 19 Residence Club homes. An expansive fitness centre, full-service alpine spa, year round heated outdoor pool adjoined by two heated whirlpools within a sunken courtyard showcasing awe-inspiring Vail Mountain views, and dining focused on delicious, nutrition-conscious cuisine completes the Resort's uniquely luxurious offering.

Towering 45 storeys over the city, Four Seasons HotelFour Seasons HotelLoading... Denver presents masterful architecture and contemporary design, incorporating 236 guest rooms, including 21 suites and 102 residential condominiums in a beautifully sleek tower.

Four Seasons HotelFour Seasons HotelLoading... Marrakech, opening Q4 2010, is located just five minutes from both the Medina and the Menara Gardens, with 140 guest rooms and suites, each with its own outdoor furnished terrace, plus 43 private residences (Villas and Riads). Marrakech offers dining options that impress with Spanish and Mediterranean influences, pool bar and Grill destinations, as well as providing guests with an array of recreational opportunities including a full-service spa, steam room, two large heated pools and plunge pool, cabanas, tennis courts and fitness centre.
