Tangier, Morocco; October 20, 2009: Emaar Morocco, the country-subsidiary of Emaar PropertiesEmaar PropertiesLoading... PJSC, is making impressive progress on the Tinja master-planned community, particularly with Aldea villas and townhomes.

Foundation work has been completed and super-structure is progressing. The waterfront homes are supported by advanced infrastructure and roads, and water lines and other amenities are being laid out. Hand over to customers will be done as planned in 2010.

Emaar Morocco is currently developing this residential neighbourhood of 184 townhomes and 110 villas as part of the first phase of Tinja, an integrated community which was launched for sale to strong customer response. In addition, construction is progressing for model homes in EmaarEmaarLoading...'s "Street of Dreams", which provides a brilliant overview of Aldea homes to enable customers to experience the unique design and quality of the EmaarEmaarLoading... residences.

Mr Yves Delmar, Chief Executive Officer, Emaar Morocco, said: "As the pioneering master-planned community in Tangier, Tinja is setting a new benchmark in lifestyle residential living. The strong response from customers to Aldea townhomes and villas is a testament to their trust in EmaarEmaarLoading...'s capabilities. We are committed to surpassing their expectations, which is reflected in the attention to details placed on the construction of homes and the infrastructure."

Tinja is best described as an exclusive haven of peace and tranquility. It integrates two much-sought after natural environmental ambiences - a waterfront location and close proximity to natural forests. Tinja's appeal also lies in its proximity to Tangier International Airport, only a ten-minute drive which provides not only a unique tourist destination but also a primary home location for Tangier residents.

Mr Delmar added: "Tinja Street of Dreams will be completed this year giving all our customers a true touch-and-feel understanding of the build quality, the design excellence and amenities provided. Tinja will serve as a referral point for our other developments in Morocco including our residential development in Rabat developed in close collaboration with the authorities."

More than 600 professionals and skilled workers are currently on-site working on the construction of townhouses, villas and infrastructure, which include earthworks for a sprawling lake that will add a new aesthetic dimension to the development.

Set in 230 hectares of landscaped terrain and 60 hectares of natural forest, Tinja has 3 km of uninterrupted waterfront along the Atlantic Ocean. In all, the project, located 20 km from Tangiers city centre, will have more than 1,500 villas, townhouses and apartments set around a 1.6 hectare lake and beautifully landscaped green areas.

Tinja homes are designed in a mix of Californian and Andalusian architectural styles. The community
features clubhouses, swimming pools, children's play areas, in addition to a commercial village with restaurants, retail outlets and boutique shops.

The world-class EmaarEmaarLoading... design and finishing standards are being carefully applied in developing Tinja.
High-quality specifications include thermal and acoustic insulation through double glazing, fully-equipped kitchens, state-of-the art living spaces with fireplaces and superior finishes across all aspects including natural stone and fine porcelain tiling.

Potential customers can also visit the Tinja sales centre at Route de la forêt diplomatique CT 8006 or call (+212) 5 39 92 54 54 for more details. The sales centre features models of the entire project and individual homes thus enabling customers to make informed purchase decision.
