- Text size
MUSCAT -- Oman AirOman Air
has launched its non-stop scheduled services between Muscat and Paris-Charles de Gaulle (CDG). The carrier now offers passengers four flights a week between Muscat and Paris. A high-level delegation from Oman AirOman Air
, led by Peter Hill, chief executive officer; and Barry Brown, chief commercial officer of Oman AirOman Air
, will be in Paris for the airline's launch celebrations. Oman AirOman Air
will commemorate its new Paris operations with a gala dinner tomorrow under the patronage of Dr Rajiha bint Abdulamir Ali, minister of tourism. Dignitaries from the political and social circles as well as leading business magnets from the French capital will attend the function. Prime market
Speaking on the Paris operations, Peter Hill said: "Paris is one of our prime target markets, and we are really excited about the prospects of developing both business and tourist traffic on this new route. Our new fleet of Airbus A330s is the last word in luxury, coupled with the latest on-board technology, assuring that our customers' high expectations will be met." Hill said Paris-Charles de Gaulle, the latest addition to the carrier's network, was part of a route expansion programme that would reinforce its position on long-haul routes. Oman AirOman Air
's expansion, he said, had been designed to run parallel with the Sultanate's strategy of positioning itself as an upmarket leisure destination. "I am sure that the new direct link will prove very popular," Hill expressed optimism.
"While other international airlines are cutting back their services, we continue to grow our network to offer the travelling public a world-class airline service. Oman AirOman Air
is operating with three-class service to Paris-Charles de Gaulle. Our customers can now experience fine dining, the latest in in-flight entertainment and amenities onboard our new Airbus fleet," he said. The new Paris flight will leave Muscat at 1325 and reach CDG at 1930. Return flights will leave Paris at 2230 and reach Muscat at 0750. Complimentary limousine services will be available to first and business class passengers when departing and arriving in Paris.
