Dubai: IIR Middle EastIIR Middle EastLoading... will set the stage on 18 and 19 November 2009 for the first regional Cloud Computing / SaaS Summit, taking place in Dubai Knowledge Village Conference Centre. Cloud technologies have now matured to the point where the costs and risks of moving to them are easily eclipsed by the significant cost savings and user flexibility.

A recent case study conducted with CIO's, CTO's and IT Directors from major organisations from across the region emphasised their desire for more information and a better understanding as to how cloud computing can benefit them. Security was of particular interest, as was the process of implementation into their existing systems.

Cloud services are available today in a secure environment within the MENA region. "We believe that cloud services hold an array of opportunities across the Middle Eastern region," commented James A. Fanella, CEO of MEEZAMEEZALoading... and Gold Sponsor of Cloud Computing / SaaS Summit. "Cloud services represent a key part of our strategy and we are delighted to participate in the Cloud Computing / SaaS Summit which offers a regional platform to discuss these exciting developments."

The Cloud Computing / SaaS Summit is free to attend for senior IT decision makers from end-users (enterprise and government) of cloud and SaaS services. An impressive line-up of regional and international companies will speak at the event, including Injazat, State of Michigan, Bank of America, eBay / PayPal, Zamil Industrial, Omniyat Properties, Microsoft, Bayt.com, BMC Software and Google.

"Cloud computing has become an umbrella term for utility computing, grid computing and on-demand application delivery. The concept will continue to evolve as the latest technologies are applied to revolutionize the status quo of the IT market." said Yasser Zeineldin, CEO, eHosting DataFort and speaker at IIR's Cloud Computing/Saas Summit "In today's times, the Cloud Computing / SaaS Summit will provide an even more vital platform for vendors and service providers from all over the region to meet and share experiences of how the cloud offers a host of attractive benefits to an organisation where achieving lower costs and greater efficiencies are of particular concern to an organization."

The Cloud Computing / SaaS Summit has attracted registrations from top organisations, including Roads & Transport Authority, EMARAT, DP World, Jeddah Municipality, ADNOC Distribution, Damac Group, Health Authority Abu Dhabi, Emaar Economic City, Dubai Customs and Qatar Steel CompanyQatar Steel CompanyLoading....
