Doha, Qatar - September 29, 2009 - International Gulf Trading Company (IGTC) - Chubb Fire Qatar has undertaken three fundamental, large-scope fire and safety projects at the new Doha International Airport (NDIA) currently under construction. A leader in state-of-the-art fire safety equipment, supplies and security solutions, IGTC-Chubb Fire Qatar is active in three distinct phases of airport construction, Construction Package 15 (CP15) in Area 2, CP18 in Area 3 and CP21 in Area 4. Each project has an expansive and comprehensive work scope in such areas as fire protection system design, supply, testing and commissioning.

CP15 comprises the Airport Operations Facilities. The fire fighting system IGTC - Chubb Fire delivered for this phase covers the general aviation terminal in addition to airline administration offices, catering, mosque, facility maintenance, midfield security, solid waste collection facilities, main and satellite fire stations, a fire training facility, North and South sea rescue stations and the medical centre.

CP18 makes up the Passenger Terminal Complex. The heart of the NDIA, this phase is made up of the passenger terminal, concourses A and B, pedestrian bridges, a vertical circulation node, an elevated roadway, security checkpoints, passenger arrivals roadway, apron floodlighting and the airport's control tower equipment. IGTC-Chubb Fire Qatar is responsible for the fire safety system design review for this construction package, stamping of drawings and supply of products. The system is currently under design review and awaiting approval from Qatar's Civil Defense Department and Overseas Bechtel Incorporated (OBI), the company providing engineering, project management and construction management services for NDIA.

CP21 includes NDIA's Airport Support Buildings. IGTC-Chubb Fire Qatar provided the pumps, piping and installation for the area's centralized, primary "ring of water" fire defense system for the Main Contractor's Labor Camp. This phase of construction forms the development's main support and its importance to the project necessitated that it was one of the first phases fitted with fire safety products and completed. IGTC-Chubb Fire Qatar's activities at this phase made it one of the very first contractors on the site and its additional work phases will make it one of the very last contractors to leave.

Mr. Rami Batrawi, IGTC-Chubb Fire Qatar General Manager, said of Chubb's fundamental involvement in the NDIA project, "Chubb Fire is honored to be a part of the prestigious NDIA project. Each building will be a landmark to Chubb Fire's skill and products. This project and its individual and detailed phases make up the largest scope of work for any

project we have worked on in Qatar. Chubb Fire Qatar has been on this site from the very beginning, even providing the fire protection systems for OBI's offices on the NDIA site including alarms, extinguishers and detection systems. We are very proud of our work on this high-tech project which will help lead Qatar into the future. IGTC-Chubb Fire is not subcontracting any of this project work; it is all being completed in-house by our highly-skilled and experienced team."

"This project required very strict safety and work licenses," he continued. "The rigorous design and construction approval process needed for this project makes the contractors working on NDIA immediately recognizable as extremely qualified operations which conduct high-quality work and provide solid documentation, project experience and references. For over two centuries, Chubb Fire has been the global leader in fire protection, safety and security solutions. As a forerunner in the industry, this complex and modern project with its many different facets was a perfect fit for IGTC - Chubb Fire."

The airport site is located just east of the existing airport. A large, 22 km. area, NDIA will act as the home base and hub for Qatar Airways and provide Qatar's aviation needs for the next 50 years, a long-term capacity and operating flexibility.

IGTC-Chubb Fire Qatar is currently bidding on additional projects at the NDIA site. The project is slated for completion next year.
