Dubai, 5 July 2009 - EMCOR Facilities Services Group Ltd (EFSG) Middle East, has announced the launch of its operations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through a joint venture with ACWA Holding, for the delivery of integrated facilities, estate and property management solutions.
The move is part of EFSG's strategy which aims to leverage the region's single-largest market and follows the company's Middle East expansion plans.
EFSG CEO, Christian Roberts, says that property developers across the region are consulting facilities management companies in the early stages of developments, which could save millions of dollars in the long term.
"EFSG has been strengthening its strategic position in the Middle East to capitalize on this emerging trend and the growing concern of developers towards sustainability and long-term security of investments" he said.
EFSG and ACWA Holding have been awarded their first project in KSA - a contract valued over SAR 500 million to provide a range of Facilities Management and other operational support services.
Rasheed Al Rasheed, CEO and President of ACWA Holding said "against such a backdrop, we believe that EFSG will play an instrumental role in defining the standards of Facilities Management in Saudi Arabia.
"We consider our newly-established presence in Saudi Arabia as a major success and will continue to show our commitment to incorporate internationally-renowned standards, systems and processes, and utilise the expertise of our people to provide truly integrated and best practice service solutions throughout the country."
