Mobily upgrades 40 more sites to 3G and beyond

upgraded 40 more of its sites in the Eastern Region to 3G, 3.5G and 3.75G, the company announced on Wednesday.The upgrades included sites in Dammam, Khobar, Dhahran and the Jubail Industrial City and the Dammam Port, as well as the towns of Sihat, Qatif and Kalabia in Ahsaa.
Engineer Khalid Al Kaf, MobilyMobily's CEO, said that the company is working thoroughly on getting the entire Kingdom connected to 3G and beyond, upgrading 40 sites in a single month. he added that with 3G and beyond, MobilyMobily's subscribers can enjoy high-speed Internet connectivity through Connect, mobile or iPhone, watching satellite TV and making video calls in the Kingdom and abroad.
MobilyMobily
has 3G deals with 62 operators in 36 countries.Kaf added that MobilyMobily's network is the world's busiest in data transfer, with more than 31 terrabytes exchanged daily.
