LEWA GmbH plans new business hub in Dubai Airport Free Zone
DUBAI: LEWA GmbH pumps & systems, is  a premier supplier of pumps and injections systems  for over 55 years. In Dubai Airport Free Zone we plan to establish a large sales &  service centre to leverage our presence and support our clients in and around the region, according to  Bernard. M.  Stutz, Chief Executive Officer, LEWA GmbH pumps systems.

Speaking during the formal inauguration of the company office in Dubai Airport Free Zone, Mr. Stutz, said, "The region is lavish with potential business opportunities particularly in oil and gas industry, hence a company of our magnitude and value would obviously have a strong presence to lend its products and expertise."

He said Dubai is pro business and has forward looking vision and a well developed infrastructure that businesses need. These are the things that make investment in Dubai very attractive for; a wide assortment of businesses targeting the Gulf and Middle East countries.

Stutz said, "The new service centre will provide our clients in the region with their quick needs at a hand-reach."

He added the company's sales turnover of Dh 50 million in UAE during 2008 is an encouraging sign of expansion in the region.

"We have selected Dubai Airport Free Zone to be our base for the environment it avails to its clients and the strong partnership it creates with its tenants."

Stutz said the company chose Dubai Airport Free Zone as the location of their office in the region for its quick one stop - window services, business-like environment, quality building setup and unrivalled location, "requirements which match our needs."

'Although LEWA is recognized as a highly skilled manufacturer, making pumps and packages are just two of four core activities. The other two are after sales services and trade products," said Stutz.

He said the company has close ties with manufacturers of complementary pumps and accessories to give clients a complete pump package in a single-source procurement and responsibility solution

After sales activities of LEWA include installation, commissioning and servicing which are essential aspects of the company's success in the UAE as more and more clients scale back their own expertise to running only their core activities.

Mr. Nasser Al Madani , Assistant Director General, Dubai Airport Free Zone, said,  "We welcome LEWA as part of our growing international companies representing a broad spectrum of economic activities that make up a healthy UAE economy."

"Our location within the Dubai International Airport with 135 airlines flying to 210 destinations is indeed a boon for investors," Al Madani concluded.
