Program is launched in response to growing unemployment rates in the region, following effects of global economic downturn
Dubai, UAE, 9th February 2009- Bayt.comBayt.comLoading..., the region's number one jobsite, has reiterated its commitment to improving the employment situation in the Middle East and addressing the challenge of growing unemployment in the region, by offering unemployed professionals a free walk-in CV consultation and advice session.

Between February 15th and February 26th, a team of five Bayt.comBayt.comLoading... professionals including senior executive managers, will be available during the lunchtime period of 12 to 2pm; for unemployed professionals to bring a copy of their CV for an intensive free 15-minute consultation on its merits and shortcomings.

The sessions are co-sponsored by Dubai Internet City where the sessions will be conducted and in addition, a free lunch for the attendees will be provided by Biryani Express.

Rabea Ataya, CEO of bayt.com explained the reasons behind the community outreach endeavor. He said; "We all have an obligation to the communities we live in and I see no more valuable CSR program than one that capitalizes on what we do best; with a free and simple service that will be useful for these jobseekers well into the future."

"At bayt.com we are focused on promoting employment in the region and have always been very transparent about this. This initiative, like our other CSR programs, is just one way in which we can make our vision of improving the recruitment process across the Middle East an achievable reality,'' he added.

In addition to the CV clinic, Bayt.comBayt.comLoading... has responded to the current global economic crisis and its effects on regional employment, by earlier this year cutting significantly the prices for job postings on the site. The move has enabled employers with tight budgets and companies who previously could not access an efficient and global recruitment marketplace; to recruit top talent in the most optimal and effective manner; from the convenience, comfort and confidentiality of their own offices.

Moreover, Bayt.comBayt.comLoading... has recently launched a permanent and pioneering "CV service for the unemployed'' platform, which offers unemployed professionals a detailed CV writing and consultation service, provided by the highly experienced Bayt.comBayt.comLoading... CV Services team. The fee for the comprehensive package, which is typically USD$350, is entirely waived for unemployed professionals selected for it. All currently unemployed professionals from around the region are eligible to apply. To date, 40 people have benefitted from the program, which receives an average of 10 applications daily from around the Middle East. Details of the permanent Unemployment CV Services program are available at http://www.bayt.com/job/career-services.

"At Bayt.comBayt.comLoading..., we remain committed to stimulating and improving regional employment, by providing a pioneering talent marketplace alongside world-class career-support services. In initiating these two schemes to aid both jobseekers and employers, we are sending a clear message out to the region that we are a ready and able partner for ensuring that unemployment is limited as far as possible in the Middle East,'' concluded Ataya.
