Cosmetics and Skin-Care-Products are the Multi-Billion-Dollar Global Industry

Dubai, United Arab Emirates: The skin care market represents more than 37% of total natural personal care sales in the world, and grows at a rate of 18% annually, representing a significant portion of the natural personal care industry. Skin tightening, body contouring and the latest in cosmetic dermatology are topics that concern both genders alike, as the concept of the perfect skin is sought by all.
Dubai World Dermatology & Laser Conference & Exhibition - Dubai Derma 2009 is an annual event that discusses all these topics and more, through a scientific symposium program and multiple cutting edge workshops. This annual event is devoted to Dermatology, Skin Care, Skin Lasers and Anti Aging under the motto: "Skin Health is our Concern". The Event is to be held under the patronage of H. H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Minister of Finance, and President of Dubai Health Authority.
Index Conferences and Exhibitions Organisation Est. - member of INDEX Holding, is preparing for the 2009 Dubai World Dermatology & Laser Conference & Exhibition - Dubai Derma, held during the period of 26th - 28th of April 2009, at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. Dubai Derma attracts more than 7000 delegates and trade visitors every year for the past 8 years.
Scientific Activities
A four day pre-conference course will be held from the 22nd to 25th of April 2009. Eight specialized sessions in Basic and Clinical Review of Phototherapy and Laser, Clinical Dermatology, Clinical Dermatology (Bullous Diseases), Pre-Board Clinicopathologic Slide Show - Clues to reach a diagnosis, Dermatopathology, Clinical Grilling Session & Mock Exam. These sessions will help to prepare delegates for the Arab-Board of Dermatology Exam, which will be held in late may.
Prof. Ibrahim Galadari the chairman of the Dubai Derma 2009 conference announced the topics that will be highlighted in this year's three day event as follows:
First Day:
PSORIASIS, IMMUNOBULLOUS, COSMETICS 101
Second Day:
UPDATES ON COSMETIC DERMATOLOGY, NAIL SYMPOSIUM, BODY CONTOURING, LASERS, and interesting cases from LOCAL HOSPITALS.
Third Day;
VITILIGO, THERAPEUTICS, Fat and cellulite treatment
"Meet the Experts" is an innovative workshop that will take place on the 27th and 28th of April. Experts in Fillers and Mesotherapy will discuss and share their experiences.
Dermatologists, Dermatology resident physicians and medical students will benefit from the workshops; as they will provide an update on the latest advances and practices in Dermatology, Laser treatments, anti - aging, skin and hair care and other dermatological therapies. Continuing medical educational hours will be also granted as part of attending this enormous event.
