GWC, Agility Qatar plan to merge operations

Development will see emergence of a new logistics leader in Qatar offering comprehensive portfolio of logistics services


Agility QatarAgility QatarLoading... today announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding to enter into merger discussions with the Gulf Warehousing Company ("GWC")Gulf Warehousing Company ("GWC")Loading..., a company listed on the Doha Securities Market.  The merger aims to create one of the strongest logistics players in the Qatar market with a comprehensive service portfolio for existing and prospective customers in the country. The new entity will be called GWCGWCLoading... - AgilityAgilityLoading....

Over the last few years both GWCGWCLoading... and Agility QatarAgility QatarLoading... have made significant strides in transforming their organizations into regional logistics and warehousing leaders, and the merger would further accelerate this development for both companies.

Elias Monem, AgilityAgilityLoading... CEO for Middle East and Africa, said, "This is clearly a defining moment for both AgilityAgilityLoading... and GWCGWCLoading.... We are entering into a new era of unprecedented growth, and this merger would increase our commitment to development in the State of Qatar.
