Dubai Real Estate Institute to Offer Course on 'Implementing Dubai Strata Law'

Programme Aims to Prepare Professionals Prior to Execution of Law
Dubai-UAE: 06 January, 2009 - Dubai Real Estate Institute (DREI), the first and leading comprehensive institute for real estate education in the Middle East offering high quality programmes, today announced a course on 'Implementing Dubai Strata Law', providing participants with an in-depth understanding of the law's key clauses, specifically on Shared Property Management.
The four-day course will be held from the 26-29 January at the DREI campus.
An Internationally renowned legal and management expert in Strata Development, construction and management, will deliver the course content. He has been extensively involoved in the drafting of the Dubai Strata Law which governs the division of communal areas such as gardens, pools, gyms and other facilities within property developments.
The course assumes additional significance with the Dubai Strata Law expected to be issued in the first quarter of this year. In addition to providing stability to the real estate sector, the law will also assist companies gain competitive supremacy by creating unparalleled customer value.

With an intention to develop next generation leaders competent to guide and shape the real estate business, DREI has paid meticulous attention to the programme's course content and educational details. The curriculum will include an overview of Dubai Strata Titles and Community schemes systems; the Strata Law, boundaries, and common property; the relationship between owners association and master developer; essentials of fund management for shared properties; by-laws, committee, resolutions, meetings and minutes; relationship with managing agents and brokers, facilitating managers and master developers; and processes for disputes, insurance, accounting, levies, budgets, collections, record keeping and account ledgers.
Participants will be awarded DREI certificates upon successful completion of the programme.
