'Investigate Dow, refinery projects'

KUWAIT: Some officials close to the MPs have been drawing parallels between the Dow ChemicalDow Chemical
project and the fourth refinery project. They say it is necessary to link investigation procedures of the two projects in order to investigate the reasons behind drawing up the contract with Dow ChemicalDow Chemical and its subsequent cancellation. The details with regard to fourth refinery 's capital distribution exceeds KD 25 billion has not been disclosed, officials said.They said that the investigation into the shelved project will include an investigation in to the refinery project, said as both the cases were intertwined. In other news, consultations concerning new government formation are ongoing. HH the prime minister is meeting with political blocs as well as officials from the Kuwait Chamber of CommerceKuwait Chamber of Commerce
. An official said that a delegation from the Chamber will meet the premier to discuss the economic issue and means to find a solution to a crop of financial and economic problems.By A Saleh
