- Text size
A group of senior delegates of the Geneva-based International Baccalaureate (IB) led by its Director-General, Mr. Jeffrey Beard, visited Dubai International Academy (DIA) today, as part of their tour of educational facilities and institutions in the UAE.
The visiting delegation, which included several members of the IB Board, was given a warm welcome by officials and students of DIA. They were received by Mr. Avi Bhojani, Managing Director, DIA and Mr. Hamdi Osman, Founder Partner and Board Director of DIA, together with the School Leadership Team. Students led the IB officials on a tour of the school, after which they were treated to a musical performance by the students. The international education experts have arrived in the UAE to participate in their governance meeting and attend the IB community dinner in Dubai.
DIA, located at Emirates Hills, is an 'IB World School' and is the first school in the UAE to have been authorised by the IB for the continuum of the full IB curriculum, the Diploma Programme, the Middle Years Programme and the Primary Years Programme.
