SAP Extends University Alliance Program to KSA and Bahrain |

New IT University Competence Centers to Provide Skills for Gulf's Growing Knowledge Economy; Jubail Industrial College in KSA and AMA International University in Bahrain Join Growing Network of SAPSAP
Partners Dubai, United Arab Emirates -- November 13, 2008 -- SAP Middle East & North AfricaSAP Middle East & North Africa
announced yesterday that it has formed strategic partnerships with leading educational institutions in the Gulf through its University Alliance Program.Joining a growing network of SAP partners, Jubail Industrial College in Saudi Arabia and the AMA International University Bahrain have signed agreements to develop a University Competence Center (UCC) on their campuses, where comprehensive SAP IT certification programs will be offered.
Underlining the importance of collaboration between the education and private sectors, the new UCC will equip students with IT and business process management skills essential to the development of the Gulf's growing knowledge-based economy.

to introduce an educational program that will empower our students with relevant IT skills that will provide them with the tools for future success," said Dr. Marie Redina M. Victoria, School Director, AMA International University.
Through the development of these sought-after skills, SAPSAP
believes that graduates will be prepared for the Gulf region's growing modernization and economic diversification, which is creating opportunities for IT services in a range of key industries.
"Education is critical to ensure economic growth in the Kingdom and we believe that SAPSAP
is well positioned to help our students to learn how to build a framework that will support our diversification strategy and enhance our long-term competitiveness," said Dr. Al Assiri, JIC Deputy, Education & Training Affairs at Jubail Industrial College.
These competence centers will be the first of their kind in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia and will officially form part of the global SAPSAP
University Alliance program, a higher learning initiative that provides hands-on education in a range of SAPSAP
products currently being used by companies around the world.
