Lara Croft Chooses Jeep Wrangler |
|

Dubai, United Arab Emirates: The Jeep Wrangler played its part in the launch of the new Lara Croft game in the Middle East last week. The game, brought to gamers in the region by Red Entertainment Distribution, saw its launch at a glitzy party attended by the new Lara Croft, Alison Carroll.
Her choice of wheels was the iconic Jeep Wrangler. Trading Enterprises, the official distributor of Jeep in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, provided two Jeep Wranglers - a two-door and one four-door - for Red Entertainment to ferry Lara Croft on her journey in Dubai.
"We are very happy that Lara Croft chose the tough Jeep Wrangler as her personal set of wheels during her visit to Dubai. It's lean, rugged yet simple and offers the Jeep brand's coveted core values of freedom, adventure, mastery and authenticity, just like Lara Croft," said Trevor Fletcher, National Sales & Marketing Manager for Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge, Trading Enterprises Company LLC.
Replete with dance routines, jaunty music and definitely a jumpsuit in sight - the new Lara Croft, who is a trained gymnast by the way, set the tempo rolling for this new exciting game by setting out for a motorcade through the main thoroughfares of Dubai. The motorcade started from the Hilton Creek Hotel at 4.00pm before heading for Jumeirah to meet up with members of the Harley Owner's Group who formed an impressive escort. The motorcade took in the modern marvels of Dubai in the form of the Burj Al Arab, Madinat Jumeirah, Palm Jumeirah, the Atlantis before joining Sheikh Zayed Road, Mall of the Emirates, Emirates Towers and World Trade Centre onto its destination at the Chi Garden @ The Lodge.
The Jeep Wrangler is powered by a 3.8-litre V6 engine developing 199 hp and 315 Nm of torque. Power to all four wheels is supplied by a 4-speed automatic transmission. The Wrangler embodies all the attributes of being in the same mould as Lara Croft - tough as nails but with a heart of gold.
A direct descendant of the original Jeep - the 1941 Willys MB - the 2008 Jeep Wrangler carries on the rich tradition of legendary 4x4 leadership. This modern classic delivers more capability, interior space and comfort, refinement, power and open-air fun.
At the launch party, along with representatives from Eidos, the Harley Owner's Group and Red Entertainment, Alison presented a donation to the SNF Children Development Centre, an organization set up to help children with special needs.
