Gulf Insurance Institute Officially Opens New Amwaj Islands Headquarters Today!

Manama, Bahrain: The Gulf Insurance Institute (GII) is officially inaugurating its new Bahrain headquarters today (3 November, 2008) under the patronage of his Excellency Minister of Labour.
The Board of Directors and invited special guests will attend the official opening of its premises in Amwaj Islands, followed by a press conference. An evening celebration reception will be held at the Ritz Carlton Hotel's tent 'Al Khayma'.
GII Chairman Mr Qassim Fakhroo announced "We are proud to be launching the GII headquarters in Bahrain, and look forward to developing the Gulf's human capital to build the region's insurance and risk management industry."
GII has been established as leading centre of excellence which provides learning, and sustainable career development and rewards achievements for professionals engaged in conventional and Islamic Insurance practices and risk management, as well as for those starting in career in this rapidly expanding sector.
The Institute will serve as a regional hub for conventional insurance and Islamic insurance (Takaful) learning; as well as ancillary financial services and management studies.
GII promotes learning through the development of region-specific training materials and accredited certificate programs--including Arabic and Takaful course materials.
At the inauguration, GII will be launching and demonstrating its unique E-learning system which will be used as an important resource for distance learning.
