Press Release

26 October 2008
Latest Retail Banking Solution Offers Customers Innovative Virtual Financial Management

Dubai - Dubai BankDubai BankLoading..., a Dubai Group company, today announced the launch of Dubai Bank Mobile service, the first of its kind in the UAE, offering customers a unique and advanced level of convenience in conducting transactions on mobile phones.

Dubai BankDubai BankLoading... showcased its enriched, cutting-edge mobile banking software at a media roundtable held at its headquarters in Dubai, giving journalists a rare hands-on feel of the service's unique power-packed features. Engineered to function with numerous mobile phone models and operating systems, the service appeals to a broad range of customers. The time-saving convenience enables clients to conduct comprehensive banking transactions previously limited to the online or in-branch medium, from a secure, technologically-advanced environment.

Dubai Bank Mobile is a functionally rich, icon-based service, offering customers the experience of the bank's online functionality, optimized for browser enabled mobile devices such as Blackberry, Nokia N-Series, iMate, HTC, Samsung and the Apple iPhone.

The mobile banking initiative comes as part of Dubai BankDubai BankLoading...'s ongoing retail service enhancements aimed at optimizing the client experience across every vantage point, in-person, by telephone, or through the virtual method of Internet banking.

Mohammed Amiri, Dubai BankDubai BankLoading...'s Head of Retail, said, "Introducing our customer-centric mobile banking service is part of our vision to evolve as a provider of choice for premium solutions. We understand how complex and circuitous our clients' lives are, and always endeavour to supply sophisticated yet simple banking solutions that impact their wealth management needs in a practical manner.

"The introduction of the new service takes virtual banking to an even higher level of technological convenience, giving clients the latitude to conduct their banking functions at any time, and from anywhere in the world. Adapted from Dubai BankDubai BankLoading...'s online banking interface, the mobile service offers a highly secure, seamless experience to customers who previously conducted all of their banking transactions via the Internet."

The new service, available only for clients enrolled into Dubai BankDubai BankLoading...'s Internet Banking Service, is designed for upwardly mobile customers seeking smart yet simple solutions.

Dubai BankDubai BankLoading...'s innovative offering is functionally distinct from conventional SMS banking services that are used by most banks for sending text message bill payment and account balance updates.

Extending a much broader suite of banking capabilities, Dubai BankDubai BankLoading...'s mobile banking service allows clients to interactively conduct a number of banking transactions, including bill payments, cash advance requests, domestic and international money transfers, Wasel top-ups, and setting up new savings and investment accounts.

Dubai BankDubai BankLoading... is a full-service Shari'a-compliant financial institution with a vision of becoming a leader within the country's banking and wealth management sector. In recent months, it has launched a series of products and services aimed at reinforcing customer loyalty, attracting new clientele and providing avant-garde banking solutions to the UAE community at large.
